MOSS is a free Discord bot made by Emcoda (emcoda.com). We keep as little data as we can, and we never sell it.
What the bot stores
- Your server's ID and the settings an admin chooses: which features are on, channel and role IDs, texts, intro questions and the theme.
- For reaction roles: the message ID, the emoji and the role ID.
- Simple counts for the dashboard overview, like "12 people joined this week". These are only numbers with a date, without names or user IDs, and are deleted after 90 days.
MOSS does not store messages, member lists or anyone's answers to the intro questions. Answers are only used to give roles and are shown in the intro card on your server.
What the bot uses but doesn't keep
When someone joins, MOSS uses their name and avatar to draw the welcome card and post it on your server. The picture isn't saved anywhere by us.
The dashboard
When you log in with Discord, we see your username, avatar and the list of servers you're in. This is kept only in your login cookie until you log out. We never see your password.
Deleting your data
When MOSS is removed from a server, all settings for that server are deleted automatically. You can also ask us to delete them through emcoda.com.
Where it runs
MOSS runs on a private server and keeps its data in a small database there. It is not shared with anyone.
